Among these, there is such a bridge where people do not cross even by mistake in the darkness of night. As the evening approaches, the traffic here reduces. As darkness begins to increase. By the way, people’s breathing starts getting labored while passing over this bridge. Many people have also committed suicide by jumping from this bridge.
If we look at the statistics of the last few years, it becomes clear that countless people have lost their lives on this bridge. We are talking about the bridge built over the Narmada river in Khargone, Madhya Pradesh. The people of the area have named this bridge Suicide Point. Nearly 100 people have lost their lives here in the last 26 years.
Where is this ghostly bridge built?
The bridge is built over the Narmada river between village Makadkheda and Mandleshwar, 48 km away from Khargone district headquarters. The length of the bridge is about 1 km. The bridge connects two tehsils of the district, Maheshwar and Kasrawad. The road passing over the bridge is currently called Chittorgarh-Bhusaval Highway.
12 people committed suicide in 5 years –
According to the local residents, the people who died here. His soul wanders. If you go near the bridge at night, it seems as if the bridge is pulling you towards itself. Many people fell here while taking selfies, and some while throwing puja material into the Narmada. Some committed suicide by jumping from the bridge. According to the data received from Mandaleshwar Police, in the last 5 years, 6 people have committed suicide by jumping into the Narmada river from this bridge. Almost the same figures are recorded in the Kasrawad police records.
Why are people afraid of being killed at night?
The last Bhargava of the area told that ever since the bridge was built. From then till today I have not had the courage to go here at night. If absolutely necessary, people cross the bridge by vehicle, but no one has the courage to cross it on foot. Many people have also felt some invisible force on the bridge here.
Many people died after being buried –
Dinesh Patidar told that it was built about 26 years ago. When the bridge was being built, a major accident took place here. Some part of the bridge had fallen during construction. About 20 to 25 working people died after being buried under the debris of the bridge. After that, when the bridge was built, gradually many people started dying by jumping from this bridge.
